A Rosa

A Campanha clic-a-clic lançou mais um texto, uma belíssima história atribuída a Rainer María Rilke, conhecida como "A Rosa". Vale a pena ler.


O poeta Rainer María Rilke viveu muitos anos em Paris. Costumava ir todos os dias à universidade na companhia duma amiga francesa, atravessando uma rua muito movimentada.
Ali, a um canto, todos os dias, encontrava-se uma pobre mendiga que pedia esmola a quem passava. A velhinha, como uma imagem religiosa num nicho, ficava imóvel, olhos fixos no chão, apenas de mão estendida.
Rilke, o poeta, nunca dava nada, ao contrário da sua companheira que quase sempre deixava cair na mão da pedinte alguma moeda.
Um dia, a rapariga francesa, intrigada com a atitude do poeta, perguntou-lhe:
- “Porque nunca dás nada a essa pobrezita?”
- “Penso que temos de dar-lhe alguma coisa para o seu coração e não para as suas mãos” – respondeu o poeta.
No dia seguinte, Rilke levou uma bela rosa entreaberta, pô-la na mão da mendiga e ia a continuar o seu caminho, quando… aconteceu o inesperado: a mendiga levantou os olhos, olhou o poeta, levantou-se do chão com muita dificuldade, tomou a mão dele e beijou-a. Foi-se embora logo de seguida, apertando a rosa contra o peito.
Não voltou a ser vista durante toda a semana. Mas oito dias depois, a mendiga apareceu de novo sentada no mesmo canto da rua. Imóvel e silenciosa como sempre.
- De que viveu ela nestes dias em que não recebeu nada? – perguntou a jovem francesa.
- Da rosa – respondeu o poeta.

Um vídeo sobre a pobreza!

A imagem que dá rosto a este filme não é uma composição em photoshop! É uma fotografia real de Kevin Carter, "prémio Pulitzer" em 1994, tirada no Sudão. Uma criança dirige-se para um campo alimentar das Nações Unidas, seguida por um abutre que espera a sua morte... para a comer a ela!
O fotógrafo caiu em depressão e suicidou-se três meses depois desta foto!
